Ray writes about “God’s Call to Rejoice in Him”:
It seems that many of us Christians, especially me, struggle to see the blessings of God in our daily lives. We remember the blessing of Salvation, but after that, our memories are a little clouded. To a point this is natural, however, it does not speak well of our God. Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” This does not mean that difficulties will not get us down, but it does mean that we will thank God for His guidance and strength in those hard times. Rejoicing will help us protect our relationship with God, as well as help us point others to Christ. People will see how real God is to us, as we praise the Lord even in hard times.
