This past weekend, I spoke to the men of the Ohio Bible Fellowship at Peniel Bible Camp. It is a good group of men.
I lifted up my heart with these men to our glorious God in praise. Joe prepared a beautiful selection of hymns, both old and modern.
I enjoyed the sacred song by Charitie Lees Bancroft (1997), entitled Before the Throne of God Above. Also, we sang one of Chris’ hymns. With all the Isaianic doctrine of the Suffering Servant floating and swelling in my heart, Joe helped put that doctrine on the wings of melody for this men’s retreat.
Thank you.
I especially thank Pastor Todd Nye of Southwest Community Baptist Church and the other brethren of Ohio for flying me over to their neck of the woods.
Here are some pictures of Peniel Bible Camp:
I had fun ridin’ that thing!
We glory in the sacrificial, substitutionary work of Jesus Christ on the cross!
And before I forget, I really enjoyed spending some time with the program director, Izaac Vanderschel, an ol’ Alpha Theta Pi Razerback society brother, and Jason Peeler, a good buddy from days long ago in my alma mater admissions’ office – blessings to you brethren and your families.

Joe reintroduced me to this hymn:
“He was wounded for our transgressions”
